About
we make maps that behave.
Proximate started from one question: why does a map show where a place is, and nothing about what it is like on a wet Tuesday?
why we started
People choose places on conditions. The road that floods in July, the balcony that bakes after two, the metro that is ten minutes away on paper and twenty in the rain. Maps rarely show any of it.
Proximus is our map simulation engine. It models sun, weather, flooding and walking reach on a live 3D map, and an assistant can run it for you. Proximate Broker and the Proximate app are two ways to put it in front of people.
how we work
- Open data, named. Every layer comes from a source we can point to.
- Stated limits. Building heights are estimated and flood areas are modelled. We say so where it matters.
- Private by default. The assistant can run on a model on your own machine.
- One city first. We would rather get Delhi NCR right than approximate ten cities.
where we are
The engine works and both products run as prototypes. We're opening access from the waitlist, starting with brokers and developers in Delhi NCR.
who builds it
